OVERVIEW OF SSC CONSTABLE (GD) EXAM DETAILS

The SSC Constable (GD) Exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India to recruit candidates for the General Duty post of Constables (GD) in various forces. These forces include the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Rifleman in Assam Rifles, among others. The exam consists of a Computer-Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

The SSC GD Constable Exam is conducted annually, and the 2024 exam is scheduled to be held from February to March 2024. The basic pay scale for SSC GD varies from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100, and the exam is open to candidates who have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/University

SSC Constable (GD) Vacancy 2023

The SSC GD Constable Exam for 2023-24 has announced a total of 26,146 vacancies for male and female candidates. The vacancies are distributed across various forces, including the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Sepoy in National Investigation Agency (NIA) forces.

SSC Constable (GD) Selection Procedure 2023

The SSC Constable (GD) examination will include a computer-based examination (CBE), a physical efficiency test (PET), a physical standard test (PST), a medical assessment, and document verification for the recommended applicants. The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi and 13 Regional languages.

The online SSC Constable (GD) computer-based test will comprise one objective-type Paper with 80 questions and 160 marks, as follows:

• General Intelligence and Reasoning
• General Knowledge and General Awareness
• Elementary Mathematics
• English/ Hindi 

This Computer Based Examination will include Matriculation-level questions.

SSC Constable (GD) Application Fee 2023

Candidates must pay the fee online by 01st January 2024 (11:00 pm). There will be no other means of payment available. Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit, or Debit cards.

To apply for the SSC Constable GD 2023 exam, follow these steps:

• The online application process for the SSC GD 2023 exam will start from November 24, 2023, and the last date to apply online is December 31, 2023.
