SSC GD Constable Exam Details Overview 2026

The SSC Constable (GD) Exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India to recruit candidates for the General Duty post of Constables (GD) in various forces. These forces include the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Rifleman in Assam Rifles, among others. (I) Nationality/ Citizenship: An SSC GD Constable 2026 Examination candidate must be a citizen of India and the candidate must also possess domicile/ PRC against his/her state/ UT.

(II) Age Limit for SSC GD Constable 2026 Exam:

According to the SSC GD Constable 2026 eligibility, the age of the candidates must be within the following limit:

(III) SSC GD Constable Educational Qualification 2026

  • Candidates must have completed their Matriculation or 10th grade from a recognised Board/University.
  • Candidates who have not obtained the required qualifications by the deadlines will be disqualified for the exam.

SSC GD Constable Selection Procedure 2026

The SSC GD Constable examination will include a computer-based examination (CBE), a physical efficiency test (PET), a physical standard test (PST), a medical assessment, and document verification for the recommended applicants. The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi and 13 Regional languages.
