SSC COMBINED HIGHER SECONDARY LEVEL EXAMINATION PATTERN 2024
The SSC CHSL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level) selection process for 2024 consists of two stages: Tier 1 and Tier 2.
- Tier 1 is an objective-type computer-based test.
- Tier 2 is an objective-type, with skill, or typing test.
- Candidates must clear the SSC CHSL Cut Off for both Tier 1 and Tier 2 to qualify for the SSC CHSL exam.

SSC CHSL Tier-I Exam Pattern 2024
The SSC CHSL Tier-I exam pattern for 2024 is as follows:
- Exam Type: Objective Multiple Choice Questions
- Mode: Computer-Based (online)
- Duration: 60 minutes (80 minutes for PWD candidates)
- Negative Marking: 1/2 mark for each wrong attempt

The SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam for 2024 consists of three sections, each with two modules.The sections are as follows:

Note:
- The total duration of Tier-II is 2 hours and 15 minutes, which includes 2 hours for Section 1 and Section 2, and 15 minutes for Module 1 of Section 3.
- The questions in Tier-II are objective-type multiple-choice questions, except for Module 2 of Section 3.
- The questions will be set in English and Hindi, except for Module-1 (i.e. English Language and Comprehension module) in Section 2.
- There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-1, Section-2 and Module-I of Section-3.
- Session 2 will include conducting of Module 2 of Section 3.
- Module 2 of Section 3 in Session 2 is a Skill Test/Typing Test, which is not applicable for scoring marks. It is conducted to assess the candidate's skills in data entry or typing.
