SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2024

 

SSC CHSL Nationality – A candidate must be either-

 

   (i) a citizen of India, or

   (ii) a subject of Bhutan, or

   (iii) a subject of Nepal, or

   (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

   (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

 As long as the candidate falls under categories (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) above, they must be someone in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been given by the Government of India.

 

SSC CHSL Age Limit –

 

The age limit for the SSC CHSL exam in 2024 is 18-27 years, as of August 1, 20242. This means that candidates should not have been born before August 2, 1997, or after August 1, 2006. Age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories:

  • For LDC/JSA, PA/SA,  DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): Passed 12th Standard or equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University
  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade ‘A’ in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Culture: Passed 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent

 

 

SSC CHSL Pay Scale 2024

 

The SSC CHSL Pay Scale 2024 for different posts is as follows:

 

  1. Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) and Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): The pay scale for these posts is Rs. 19,900 – 63,200/-.
  2. Data Entry Operator, Grade A Pay Level-4: The pay scale for these posts is Rs. 25,500 – 81,100/-.
  3. Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5 (Rs.29,200-92,300).
