JNV Selection Test 2025 will be conducted through offline mode which will be of 2 hours duration from 11:30 am to 01:30 am. Question Paper will consist of three-sections with only multiple type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks.

JNV Selection Test Section-1 Syllabus: Mental Ability Test (MAT) (40 Questions)


This Section of JNVST is a nonverbal test. Only diagrams and pictures are used to base questions. The purpose of the questions is to assess each candidate's general mental capacity. The section is divided into ten paras having 4 questions each.

JNV Selection Test Section 2 Syllabus: Arithmetic Test (20 Questions)


This JNVST test's primary objective is to measure candidates' fundamental maths skills. The following 15 subjects will be the basis for all 20 questions in this test.

1. Number and numeric system
2. Four fundamental operations on whole number
3. Factors and multiples including their properties
4. Decimals and fundamental operations on them
5. Conversion of fractions to decimals and vice-versa
6. Measurement of length, mass, capacity, time, money etc.
7. Simplification of Numerical Expressions
8. Fractional numbers - addition and subtraction of like fraction and
multiplication (unlike fraction and division of fractional numbers not included)
9. Profit and loss without calculation of percentage (calculation of percentage
of profit and loss is exempted from the topic)
10. Perimeter and area – perimeter of polygon, area of square rectangle and
triangle (as a part of rectangle)
11. Types of angle and its simple applications
12. Data analysis using bar diagram, graph and line chart.

Note: - Emphasis will be more on testing of understanding and application of the concepts and skills involved. In order to provide some guidance to the candidates on the types of questions that are expected in Arithmetic Test.


JNV Selection Test Section 3 Syllabus: Language Test (20 Questions)


The main purpose of this test is to assess reading comprehension of the candidates. Thetest consists of four passages. Each passage is followed by 5 questions. Candidates shallread each passage carefully and answer the questions that follow.
