The examination for Specialist Officers is conducted annually by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The IBPS SO exam aims to choose Specialist Officers for posts in various banking departments, such as IT Officer, Marketing Officer, Field Officer, and Agriculture Officer. According to IBPS CRP SPL-XIV 2024, there are 896 vacancies for Specialist Officers in 2024. The IBPS SO exam is only offered online and is conducted in several cities across India. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will hold the IBPS CRP SO online examination (Preliminary and Mains) as a requirement for the selection of personnel for SPECIALIST OFFICERS CADRE posts IN PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS (CRP SPL - XIV) tentatively in November/December 2024.

IBPS SO Selection Process 2024

The following is a list of the specifics of the IBPS specialist officer selection procedure. The following three stages constitute up the IBPS SO selection process:

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains Exam
• Interview

IBPS SO EXAMINATION CENTRES 2024

(i) The exam will be hosted online at various locations throughout India. The information bulletin contains a tentative list of the examination centres for both the online preliminary examination and the online main examination.

(ii) No request to change the exam centre will be taken into consideration.

(iii) However, depending on the response, administrative viability, etc., IBPS reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/or add some other Centres.

(iv) In addition, IBPS holds the right to assign the candidate to any centre other than the one he or she has chosen.

(v) The candidate will take the exam at an examination centre at his or her own risk and expense; IBPS will not be held responsible for any harm, losses, or other damages of any kind.

HOW TO APPLY IBPS SO 2024

On the official website, from August 1 to August 21, 2024, you can find the IBPS SO 2024 application form. Following are the procedures for applying for the IBPS SO:

• Visit the official website of IBPS SO – ibps.in
• Select Specialist Officers, and then select the "Click Here for New Registration" link in the yellow tab.
• Next, fill out the registration form with your name, mobile number, email address, and security pin.
• A registration number and Password will be sent to you by SMS and email.
• Login using your Registration number and password.
• Enter your personal, educational, and contact details.
• Upload your passport-size photo, signature, left thumbprint, and handwritten declaration as scanned images following the required specifications.
• Pay the IBPS SO application fee and submit the form.
