OVERVIEW OF IAF AGNIVEER VAYU EXAM DETAILS
AGNIVEER VAYU will join the Indian Air Force for a four-year period in accordance with the Air Force Act of 1950. IAF AGNIVEER VAYU would create a distinctive rank in the Indian Air Force that is different from all other ranks. IAF AGNIVEER VAYU is not obligated to be held by the Indian Air Force after the first 4 engagement periods.
After completion of 4 years of service, based on the organization’s requirements and policies promulgated by the Indian Air Force, AGNIVEER VAYU will be offered an opportunity to apply for permanent enrolment in the Indian Air Force or IAF. These applications will be considered in a centralized manner based on objective criteria including performance during their 4-year engagement period and up to 25% of each specific batch of IAF AGNIVEER VAYU will be enrolled in the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force. IAF AGNIVEER VAYU will not have any right to be selected for further enrolment into the Indian Air Force. Selection of the Indian Air Force AGNIVEER VAYU for further enrolment, if any, shall be at the discretion of the Indian Air Force.

IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2024 Notification was released on the official website of IAF on 08 July 2024. Candidates can apply online from 08 July 2024 to the last date i.e., 28 July 2024. 1. Candidates born between 3 July 2004 and 3 January 2008 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
2. If a candidate successfully clears all stages of the selection process, the maximum age limit is 21 years as of the date of enrolment.

The candidates should have passed the Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from an Education Board recognized by Central, State and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR The candidate must have passed 3 years of Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course). OR The candidate must have passed 2 years of Vocational Courses with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Maths from State Education Boards/Councils recognized by Central, State, and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in the Vocational Course). |

Note - 1: Candidates are eligible for both the Science and Other than Science courses tests if they successfully completed a course of study in science, including Intermediate/10+2, a three-year engineering diploma course, or a two-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects like Physics and Math. Candidates will have the option to sign up for either or both of these exams in a single sitting during the online registration process.
Note - 2: Only education boards listed as members on the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) website (cobse.org.in) at the time of registration will be considered for eligibility.
Note - 3: The accurate aggregate percentage of marks from the 10+2/Intermediate/equivalent examination three-year diploma course, or two-year vocational course mentioned on the mark sheet will be considered. The percentage should be considered without rounding off the decimal point (e.g., 49.99% should be considered as 49% and not rounded off to 50%).

IAF AGNIVEER VAYU PAY AND ALLOWANCES 2024:-
Candidates who qualified the Indian Air Force Agniveer cutoff marks will become a part of the Indian Air Force Agniveer. They are then given fixed salary of Rs 30,000 along with a number of benefits, which will likely increase over the course of four years.

Leave- The Indian Air Force's needs will determine whether or not a leave is granted. During their engagement, IAF AGNIVEER VAYU may be eligible for the following leave of absence: -
(a) Annual Leave. 30 days per year.
(b) Sick Leave. Based on medical advice.
Insurance, Death and Disability Compensation: - IAF AGNIVEER VAYU will be given a non-contributory life insurance policy of Rs 48 lakhs for the lifetime of their engagement in the Indian Air Force as AGNIVEER VAYU. IAF AGNIVEER VAYU SCHEME OF SELECTION 2024
The selection process for the Agniveer Airforce 2024 includes many phases that a candidate needs to clear in order to be selected for the post. The phases a candidate must clear are listed below:
Phase-1 IAF AGNIPATH AGNIVEER VAYU Online test will be multiple choice question type and questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper.
For Science Subject - Total duration of the online test shall be 60 minutesand include the subjects of English, Physics, and Mathematics from the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
For Other Than Science Subject - The online test will last 45 minutes overall and include Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) and English based to the CBSE 10+2 syllabus.
For Science Subjects & Other than Science Subjects - The online test will last a total of 85 minutes and will cover English, Physics, and Mathematics, Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA)according to the CBSE 10+2 syllabus.
Marking pattern for online test: -
(i) 1mark for every correct answer.
(ii) Zero marks for unattempt question.
(iii) ¼ or 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
