STATE BANK OF INDIA PROBATIONARY OFFICERS 2023 EXAMINATION PATTERN

 

Candidates for SBI Probationary Officer 2023 must pass the examination based on the online test and the tests conducted in these phases.

  • Phase-I: Preliminary Exam
  • Phase-II: Mains Exam
  • Phase-III: Interview, Group Exercises & Psychometric Test

 

Phase-I Preliminary Examination Pattern

 

·  SBI PO Mode of Examination – Online

·  Total Number of Sections in SBI PO exam– 3 

·  Types of Question in SBI PO exam– Objective Type  

·  Total number of questions in SBI PO Paper - 100

·  Total Marks in each SBI PO Paper– 100

·  Exam Duration for SBI PO Paper – 1 Hour (60 Minutes)

·  Marks for Correct Answer– One mark

·  Marks for unattempted questions - Zero

·  SBI PO Negative Marking - 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer

·  Candidate must qualify for this exam then he/she goes for further exam (mains exam).

Phase-II Mains Examination Pattern

 

  • SBI PO Mode of Examination – Online 
  • The main examination will be held online and will consist of 200-mark Objective Tests and 50-mark Descriptive Tests.
  • The Descriptive Test will be given immediately following the Objective Test, and candidates will be required to type their answers on the computer.
  • Negative Marking - 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer
  • Sectional Marks will not be maintained for both Preliminary & Main Examinations

SBI PO 2023 Final Selection

  • Candidates must qualify in both Phase II and Phase III individually.
  • For the purpose of creating the final merit list, the marks earned in the Main Examination (Phase II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, shall be added to the marks obtained in Phase III.
  • The Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) marks will not be included to generate the final merit list for selection.
  • The candidates' scores in Phase II (Main Examination both Objective & Descriptive Tests) and Phase III (Group Exercise & Interview) will be normalized to a score of 100, as detailed below.
