INI CET PG Exam Details Overview 2026

The term INI CET stands for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi administers the entrance exam for Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) programs. INI CET results are accepted for admission to AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, PGI Chandigarh, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, and SCTIMST, Trivandrum, among others. With effect from 2021, all of these institutes will exclusively admit PG students based on their performance in the INI CET exam. Previously, these institutes held separate tests for admission to PG courses. The INI CET examination is held twice a year, in January and July.

AIIMS, New Delhi has released the INI CET 2026 January test date on aiimsexams.ac.in, along with the information brochure. Eligible applicants must complete the INI CET 2026 application form by September 30, 2025.
