SBI Apprentice Exam Syllabus 2026: FAQs
1.What are the core subjects for the SBI Apprentice Exam?
The exam tests you on four main subjects:
General/Financial Awareness
General English
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude
2.What is the syllabus for General/Financial Awareness?
This section tests your knowledge of Current Affairs (national and international news), Banking and Financial Awareness (history of banking, RBI functions, Repo/Reverse Repo rates, Monetary Policy), Government Schemes, and Static GK (important days, capitals, currencies).
3.What topics are covered in Quantitative Aptitude?
You can expect questions on Simplification, Data Interpretation (charts and graphs), Number Series, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Time & Work, and Time, Speed & Distance.
4.What is the syllabus for Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude?
Reasoning: Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding, and Direction Sense.Computer Aptitude: Computer Fundamentals, MS Office (Word, Excel), Internet, and Operating Systems.
5.What topics are tested in General English?
This section evaluates your basic language skills through Reading Comprehension, Error Spotting, Cloze Test, Fill in the Blanks, Para-jumbles, and vocabulary-based questions (Synonyms and Antonyms).
6.What is the exam duration and sectional timing?
The total exam is 60 minutes (1 hour). The paper is split into 4 parts of 25 questions each, and you will be allotted exactly 15 minutes for each individual section.
7.Is there a negative marking in the exam?
Yes, there is a negative marking. For every incorrect answer,0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. Unanswered questions will attract no penalty.
8.What is the total number of questions and marks?
The online exam contains a total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question carries 1 mark, making the maximum total score 100 marks.
9.Is there a local language test?
Yes. Candidates who qualify the online written exam must appear for a Local Language Test. However, candidates who have studied and passed the local language in their 10th or 12th standard are exempted from this test.
