OVERVIEW OF JEE-ADVANCED EXAM DETAILS
The second stage of JEE is known as JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is a national-level engineering entrance exam that is administered by Indian Institute of Technology for admission in UG – programmes at Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswa, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Himachal Pradesh, etc. Candidates who pass the JEE Mains examination can take the IIT JEE Advanced. In addition, students get admissionto a number of the best Indian IITs, NITs, CFITs, etc. depending on their JEE Advanced exam scores.
The JEE-Advanced will consist of two objective-typepapers with physics, chemistry, and mathematics on each. Both Hindi and English will be used in question paperofthe exam. All the students must appear for both papers to be eligible for the merit list. Candidates are granted admission to various undergraduate courses and master and dual degree programmes offered by IITs based on marks scored or ranks secured in the JEE Advanced examination.

Eligibility Criteria For JEE Advanced 2024
Candidates who want to sit for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam must pass Paper 1 in the JEE Main 2024 exam. Candidates must fulfill certain criteriaset by JAB in order to sit for this exam. The following qualifications must be met to take part in JEE Advanced 2024:
Criterion 1 – Performance in JEE Main 2024
JEE Main is used as a screening test for JEE Advanced and only the top 2.5 lakhs JEE Main candidates qualify for JEE Advanced.Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2024.

*The total number of candidates can be slightly greater than 2,50,000 in the presence of “tied” ranks/scores in any category.
Criterion 2 –Age limit:-
Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1999 are eligible for JEE Advanced.SC, ST and PwD candidates have a five-year age relaxation i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994.
Criterion 3–Number of attempts:-
A candidate can attempt IIT JEE exam for a maximum of 2 times in two consecutive years.
Criterion 4 – Class 12 (or equivalent) Qualifying Examination
IIT JEE candidate must have passed for the Class 12th (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2023 or 2024 with mandatory Subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates who had appeared in Class 12th (or equivalent) examination, for the first time in 2021 or earlier, are NOT eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024.
Criterion 5 –IIT Admission:-
The candidates should never have accepted admission at an IIT, irrespective of whether they finished their courses or not orjust accepted the seat by reporting to the centre. Candidates who previously enrolled in an IIT but afterwards cancelled their enrolment would likewise not be considered JEE Advanced eligible. Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2023 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024.
JEE ADVANCED 2024 – HOW TO APPLY
To apply for JEE Advanced 2024, candidates need to follow the below steps:
1. Candidates must qualify for JEE Main 2024 to be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2024.
2. Log in to the JEE Advanced 2024 registration portal using the JEE Main login ID.
3. Fill out the registration form with personal, academic, and contact details. JEE Main details in the form will be prefilled from the JEE Main 2024 database.
4. Upload scanned documents as per the specifications provided on the website.
5. Pay the application fee online. The application fee for female candidates of all categories is Rs. 1600.
6. Download and print the registration receipt for proof of JEE Advanced 2024 registration.

JEE Advanced 2024 ADMIT CARD
Only those candidates who have successfully registered for the JEE Advanced exam and paid the application fee will receive their admit cards.
