OVERVIEW OF ALL INDIA LAW ENTRANCE TEST (AILET) EXAM DETAILS

The National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) conducts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), a national-level law examination for candidates to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. The results of this examination are used to determine admission to the 5-year integrated BA, LL.B (Hons), LL.M, and PhD programmes.

The AILET focuses mostly on evaluating candidates' comprehension and reasoning skills.

The offline AILET exam comprises one hour and thirty minutes and has 150 multiple-choice questions. Every year, generally in December near the end of the year, the examination is held.

The AILET application form for 2025 was made available on August 1, 2024 by the National Law Universities (NLUs).The last date to apply for AILET 2025 application form is November 18, 2024. AILET 2025 examination will be held on December 08, 2024, in offline mode.

AILET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Those applying to National Law University, Delhi through AILET 2025 should make sure they meet the following eligibility requirements because only qualified candidates will be shortlisted for admission to the BA, LLB, LLM, and PhD programmes.

Candidates who are taking their 10+2 standard annual exam 2025 may also apply.

Graduation in Law (3-year LLB or 5-year LLB) with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities)

Candidates in their final year of LL.B. annual examination 2025 can also apply

The graduates with LL.M. or an equivalent law degree with 55% marks (50% in case of Reserved categories candidates).

AILET Selection Procedure 2025

The All-India Law Admission Test (AILET), a state-level admission examination, is administered by the National Law University (NLU). Candidates who succeed on this exam will be accepted into the PhD, LLM, and B.A.LLB programmes.
