The West Bengal State Eligibility Test (WB SET) is an examination conducted by the West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) to assess the eligibility of candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in colleges and universities across West Bengal. This test is crucial for those aspiring to secure teaching positions in government-aided institutions within the state.

The WB is responsible for conducting the WB SET since 1994, and it operates under the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. WB SET Selection Process 2025

1. Written Examination: The WBCSC SET exam is scheduled for December 14,2025. It consists of two papers:

·Paper 1: Common for all candidates, focusing on general teaching and research aptitude.

·Paper 2: Subject-specific, covering 33 different subjects.

2. Result Declaration: Results will be announced on the official website after the examination, and candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying marks in both papers to be eligible for the Assistant Professor posts.
