OVERVIEW OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY (NIFT) B.DES 2024 EXAM DETAILS

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a premier institution for fashion education and research in India. It conducts the NIFT entrance exam, which is a national-level exam for admission to its various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in design and fashion technology. The exam consists of two stages: the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). Successful candidates in the written exam proceed to the second stage, which includes a Situation Test and a Personal Interview. The exam is conducted once a year, and the application process is typically online. The NIFT entrance exam is a mandatory requirement for admission to all NIFT campuses, and the institute reserves the right to modify the entrance examination scheme. NIFT B.DES Course Offered 2024

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) offers a B.Des program with six specializations, each with a seat intake of 38. The specializations offered at NIFT are:

NIFT B.Des Final Selections 2024

 The final selections for NIFT B.Des program 2024 will be based on the overall performance of the candidate in the CAT, GAT, and Situation Test. The NIFT final merit list will be prepared by giving weightage to the CAT, GAT, and Situation Test. The NIFT final results for B.Des courses will be declared in the last week of April 2024, and the final merit list will be prepared by giving weightage to the CAT, GAT, and Situation Test. The counseling process for qualified candidates will follow the announcement of the final results. The weightage for various courses as per the exams is indicated in the table below:

The final selection for the B.Des program will be based on the overall performance of the candidate in the CAT, GAT, and Situation Test. The merit rank or scores of the candidate in the final results will be used to shortlist candidates for admission to the B.Des program. The final results will be available in the form of a scorecard, and candidates will be able to check the results online by entering the required credentials on the official website. The final results are expected to be declared in June 2024

NIFT B.Des Exam Centres 2024

The NIFT 2024 exam will be conducted in numerous cities across India. Some of the exam centers for the NIFT 2024 exam include Kolkata, Pune, Mumbai, Surat, Kangra, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Udaipur, Chandigarh, Bilaspur, Raipur, Silvassa, Kurnool, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Itanagar/Naharlagun, Guwahati, Muzaffarpur, and many more. The complete list of exam centers for NIFT 2024 is extensive and covers 60 test cities across India. Candidates can select their choice of exam city at the time of filling out the NIFT 2024 application form. NIFT B.Des Admit Cards 2024

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is yet to announce the release date for the 2024 NIFT Admit Cards. Typically, the admit cards are released about 15 days before the entrance exam for Undergraduate programs.

Here's what you can expect:

Release Date: Tentatively in third week of January 2024.

How to Download:

• Visit the official NIFT website: https://www.nift.ac.in/
• Click on the "Admissions" tab.
• Go to "Download Admit Card" under the relevant program (UG or PG).
• Enter your NIFT Application Number and Date of Birth.
• Click on "Download Admit Card".
• Print out the admit card for future reference.

To register for the NIFT 2024 B.Des for Undergraduate (UG) programs, follow these detailed steps:

1. Visit the NIFT Website:
