MPSC Eligibility Criteria 2024

 

Nationality- A candidate must be a citizen of India. 

 

Educational Qualification- Candidates applying for the MPSC Civil Services Examination exam must have completed a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university to be eligible for the exam.

 

Age Limit – The age limit for the MPSC 2024 exam is as follows:

 

  • Minimum age: 19 years as of March 1, 2024
  • Maximum age: 38 years as of March 1, 2024 for the general category.

 

Age relaxation is provided for certain categories:

 

  • Reserved/Orphans: 43 years
  • Ex-servicemen: 43 years
  • Qualified players: 43 years
  • Disabled people: 45 years

 

Other Requirement –

 

  • Candidates should be proficient in Marathi, both verbal and written as it is a vital requirement for the Maharashtra Civil Service Exam.
  • The candidate who has a Degree in Law may be given preference.
  • Candidates in their last year of graduation are also eligible to take the MPSC State Service test.

 

MPSC Selection Procedure 2024

 

The MPSC Selection Stages for 2024 is as follows:

 

  1. Prelims Exam: Candidates must pass this screening test with two papers totaling 400 marks.
  2. Mains Exam: Successful candidates from the Prelims move on to this stage, which includes six papers with a total of 800 marks.
  3. Interview: After the Mains Exam, candidates undergo a personal interview where they are evaluated based on various criteria. 

 

Candidates need to clear each stage to progress to the next, with the final merit list based on combined scores from the Main Exam and Interview.
