OVERVIEW OF MADHYA PRADESH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (MPPSC) STATE SERVICE EXAM DETAILS

 

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) State Service Examination (SSE) for the year 2023-24 will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023. The prelims exam will be held in two shifts: the first shift will commence at 10:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM, while the second shift will begin at 02:15 PM and continue until 04:15 PM.

The MPPSC SSE is a three-stage exam consisting of a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an interview. The preliminary exam is an objective-type exam that tests candidates' general knowledge and aptitude. The main exam is a subjective-type exam that tests candidates' knowledge of various subjects, including Indian history, geography, politics, and economics. MPPSC EXAMINATION ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2023

 

The eligibility criteria for the MPPSC 2023 exam are as follows:

 

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

 

Age Limit – The age limit for the MPPSC 2023 exam is as follows:

 

  • The minimum age for all candidates is 21 years.
  • The maximum age limit for non-uniformed posts is 40 years, and for uniformed posts, it is 33 years.

Educational Qualification- The educational qualification required for the MPPSC 2023 State Service Examination (SSE) is a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications, which are recognized by the State Government as equivalent to a professional or technical degree, are also eligible to apply.

 

MPPSC EXAMINATION SELECTION PROCESS 2023

 

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) State Service Examination (SSE) is a three-stage exam consisting of a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an interview.

 

The final selection of candidates is based on their performance in the main exam and interview.

 

1. Preliminary Exam: The first stage of the selection process is the Preliminary exam. Candidates who have successfully submitted the MPPSC Application Form 2023 must first appear for the Preliminary exam. The Prelims exam consists of two papers: General Studies and General Aptitude Test, both of which are objective (MCQ) types of paper. Both papers consist of 200 marks each, and candidates will have 2 hours to complete each paper. The Prelims exam serves as a screening test, and candidates who qualify for the Prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam.

 

2. Mains Exam: The second stage of the selection process is the Mains exam. Candidates who qualify for the Prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam. The main exam consists of six papers. The six papers are General Studies-I, General Studies-II, General Studies-III, General Studies-IV, General Hindi, and Essay Writing. The main exam is a descriptive type of paper. The Mains exam is the most important stage of the selection process, and candidates who qualify for the Mains exam will be called for the Interview.

 

3. Interview: The final stage of the selection process is the Interview. Candidates who qualify for the Mains exam will be called for the Interview, which is of 175 marks. The Interview round is conducted to assess the candidate's personality, communication skills, and overall suitability for the job. The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the Mains exam and Interview.
