AFCAT EXAM DETAILS OVERVIEW 2025

Participants are welcomed to a variety of courses that will start up for the granting of Short Service Commissions (SSC) in the Flying Branch and Permanent Commissions (PC) and Short Service Commissions (SSC) in the ground duty (Technical or Non-Technical) branches.Men and women from India are invited to join the Indian Air Force as Group A Gazetted Officers in the Flying and Ground Duty branches.AFCAT or Air Force Common Admission Test exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force for selection of officers in all branches of the Indian Air Force (except medical and dental) viz.Flying Branch (Short Service Commission only), and Ground Duty Branch ((Technical and Non-Technical) NCC Special Entry/Meteorology Entry.

Every year, in the months of February and August, the AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST is held. The AFCAT advertisement for the same is released in the months of December and June, respectively.

AFCAT 1 EXAM IMPORTANT DATES 2025

On December 02, 2024, the Indian Air Force published the AFCAT exam announcement on the @AIR website. The AFCAT online application procedure will be open from December 02 to December 31st , 2024. AFCAT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2025

Before applying for the posts, it is recommended that all candidates check their AFCAT 1 2025 eligibility.The Indian Air Force has established many qualifications for both technical and non-technical posts. Candidates must make sure they meet all eligibility requirements, including the age requirement, nationality, marital status, etc., as failing to do so may result in disqualification at any point during the examination. Nationality: In accordance with the Indian Citizenship Act of 1955, participants must be Indian citizens.

Marital Status:

Candidates applying for the AFCAT 2025 exam must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course.

The participant, who marries after the date of his application, even if he or she passes the SSB or medical, will not be permitted to enrol in the course.

Any participant who marries while enrolled in training will be dismissed and must refund the government for all expenses incurred on his behalf.

IAF AFCAT AGE LIMIT 2025

The age limit for the AFCAT 2025 exam varies based on the branch. Here are the age limits for different branches:

1. Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as of January 1, 2006.

2. Technical & Ground Duty Branch: 20 to 26 years as of January 1, 2006.

AFCAT TYPES OF COMMISSION 2025

The AFCAT 2025 exam offers two types of commissions: Permanent Commission (PC) for Men and Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men and women. The main difference between the two is the tenure of service.

AFCAT 1 SELECTION PROCEDURE 2025

Allotment of AFCAT 1 2025 Centres: Candidates will receive centers according to their preferences as much as possible. Candidates should be aware that requests for a different testing location, time, or date will not be considered. Therefore, candidates should take reasonable caution while selecting the date or time of their choosing for the examination center before completing the form. The AFCAT exam locations could be canceled in any unforeseen circumstance. In this case, the impacted applicants would be given access to other centers. The IAF's decision in this regard will be final, and no appeals will be considered.

AFCAT ADMIT CARD 2025

The AFCAT 2025 Admit Card will be released on the official website of the Indian Air Force (IAF) after the application process is completed. Candidates who have successfully submitted their AFCAT application online can download their AFCAT 2025 admit card from the IAF website using their login credentials like email ID and password.

Exam Center Reporting Time:

1. Dress code: Candidates should wear formal attire (light-colored shirts and trousers)

2. Electronic devices: Mobile phones, calculators, watches, or any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

3. Food and water: Candidates are not allowed to carry any food or water items inside the exam hall.

4. Marking Scheme: The exam will have negative marking. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Applicants should make sure they meet all requirements for admission before submitting an application for the AFCAT exam. Their admission at all the stages of examination viz. Written examination and SSB test will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
