OVERVIEW OF SSC STENOGRAPHER EXAM DETAILS-

Every year, the Staff Selection Commission administers the stenographer exam. Candidates are selected through an All India level examination for stenographer Grade C (non-gazetted post) and Grade D posts in many departments, ministries, and organizations of the Indian government. 

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), which uses a two-stage system, administers the SSC Stenographer exam. A computer-based Test (CBT) comprises the first level, and a skill test comprises the second. Candidates who have passed the 12th grade have a great chance to obtain employment with the Central Government.

SSC STENOGRAPHERS (GRADE C AND D) EXAMINATION –IMPORTANT DATES

 The SSC Stenographer Notification 2023 and online registration dates were published on August 2, 2023. The dates for the SSC Stenographer Apply Online 2023 are August 02 to August 23.

• Release of SSC Stenographer 2023 Official Notification – 02^nd August 2023
• Starting Registration Date for SSC Stenographer 2023 – 02^nd August 2023
• Last Registration Date for SSC Stenographer 2023 – 23^rd August 2023 (11.00 PM)
• Date of SSC Stenographer ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ and online payment of Correction Charges – 24^th August 2023 to 25^th August 2023(11.00 PM)
• SSC Stenographer 2023 Computer Based Examination Date – October 2023
• SSC Stenographer 2023 Result – To Be Notified

SSC STENOGRAPHER ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2023

(a) Nationality: A candidate must be:

   (i) a citizen of India, or

   (ii) a subject of Bhutan, or

   (iii) a subject of Nepal, or

   (iv) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

As long as the candidate falls under category (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) above, they must be someone in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been given by the Government of India.

(b) Age limit & Age Relaxation of SSC Stenographer 2023 (As on 01-08-2023)

The prescribed age limit under SSC Stenographer Recruitment is described below.

 For Stenographer Grade C

Minimum age limit: 18 years

Maximum age limit: 27 years

A SSC Stenographer candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.2005 (both dates inclusive).

 For Stenographer Grade D

Minimum age limit: 18 years

Maximum age limit: 27 years

A SSC Stenographer candidate must have been born not earlier than 01.08.1993 and not later than 02.08.1996 (both dates inclusive).

(c) Educational Qualification of SSC Stenographer 2023 (As on 05.09.2023)

Candidates must have passed the Class 12 standard or an equivalent exam from a university or other recognised institution.

SSC Stenographer Vacancy 2023

Along with the SSC Stenographer Notification 2023, SSC has announced a total of 1207 vacancies for SSC Stenographer Group C and Group D posts. The total number of vacancies announced for the SSC Stenographer Exam for Grade D in 2023 is 1114. There are 93 total Vacancies for stenographers in Grade C that have been announced.

SSC Stenographer 2023 – HOW TO APPLY 

The online application link for the SSC Stenographer 2023 Exam has been provided by SSC. Candidates may apply between August 2 and August 23, 2023. The SSC Stenographer Notification specifies that the last day to submit an online application is August 23, 2023.

Step 2: Find and Click the SSC Stenographer 2023 Registration link.

Step 3: Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) form.

Step 4: Enter the necessary information, such as the personal and professional details.

Step 5: The registration ID and password will be sent to the provided email address and mobile number after successful registration.

Step 6: Log in again and fill out the application form.

Step 7: Fill in all the necessary details as per your documents.

Step 8: Upload scanned passport size recent photograph, signature, Caste & PwD category certificate (if applicable) and other required documents.

Step 9: Check the details and verify the information entered.

Step 10: Submit the SSC Stenographer 2023 Application Form.
