SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2026
Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either-
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
As long as the candidate falls under categories (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) above, they must be someone in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been given by the Government of India.

How to Apply for SSC CGL 2026
Here are the key steps to apply for the SSC CGL 2026 exam:
- Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) at ssc.gov.in.
- Click on the "Apply" tab and then select the "CGL Link".
- If you are a new user, click on "New User/Register Now" to create an account.Provide your personal details like name, father's name, Aadhaar number, date of birth, mother's name, email ID, and mobile number.
- You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email. Enter the OTP and click submit to complete the registration process.
