The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) 2026 follows the latest UGC-NET syllabus prescribed by the University Grants Commission and is conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University for determining the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across Maharashtra and Goa.

Paper-wise Syllabus

• Paper I: Common for all candidates and assesses teaching aptitude, research aptitude, reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, data interpretation, ICT, higher education system, people & environment, and general awareness.
• Paper II: Covers the subject selected by the candidate from the list of 32 approved subjects. The syllabus is identical to the corresponding UGC-NET subject syllabus.

Unit-VI: Logical Reasoning Syllabus
