ALL INDIA SAINIK SCHOOL AISSEE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2024

AISSEE For Class 6:

  • Students' age should be between 10-12 years as of March 31, 2023. They should have been born between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012.
  • Applicants must have completed the fifth grade; students who are currently enrolled in classes are also eligible to apply.

AISSEE For Class 9:

  • Students' age should be between 13-15 years as of March 31, 2023. They should have been born between April 1, 2007, and March 31, 2009
  • The entrance exam for admission to the ninth grade is only open to male candidates.
  • For boys in the ninth grade to be eligible for admission to Sainik School in 2024, they must be enrolled in class 8.
  • The merit list that is produced following the exam will determine admission.

AISSEE PASSING MARKS FOR ADMISSION

If a candidate receives at least 25% in each exam subject and 40% in the total of all subjects in AISSEE 2024, he or she is qualified for admission to the Sainik Schools. Admission will be determined by e-counseling based on the AISSEE-2024 merit list, medical fitness, and document verification.

However, candidates who fall under the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category are not required to receive a minimum of marks. If they meet the qualifying standards, are deemed medically fit, and have the necessary documentation verified, they will be admitted based solely on their merits as determined by the Entrance Examination within their respective categories.

An individual who falls under the SC/ST/OBC(NCL) category and enters the general merit process will be admitted against the general seat and will not be placed against the reserved share of SC/ST/OBC(NCL) seats.

AISSEE RESERVATION 2024

The reservation policy for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) for the 2024 exam will be based on several subcategories. The reservation criteria will form 40% of the seats in AISSEE 2024, and there will be no consideration for Domicile/Category reservation. The remaining 60% of seats will be filled by students enrolled in recognized NSSs, and the places will be filled depending on the rank earned in the school-specific merit list. There are no considerations for Domicile/Category reservations.Additionally, the reservation policy for AISSEE 2024 was as follows:

  • Home State/UT Students: 67%
  • Candidates from other states and UTs: 33%
  • SC (Scheduled Caste): 15%
  • ST (Scheduled Tribe): 7.5%
  • OCB (Non-Creamy Layer): 27%
  • Child of service personnel including ex-servicemen: 25%
  • Class 6 of each Sainik School (For Girls): 10% of total vacancies or 10 seats (whichever is more).
