Insert Missing Characters Test

Here in Insert Missing Characters Test, a figure, a set of figures or a matrix is given, each of which bears certain characters, be it numbers, letters or a group of letters/numbers, following a certain pattern. It is required to decipher this pattern and accordingly find the missing character in the figure.

Example : Find the missing character in each of the following questions.

1. 1
2. 25
3. 125
4. 216

Solution : 216

Clearly, (5 - 4)3 = 1; (7 - 3)3 = 64; (11 - 8)3 = 27.
So, missing number = (8 - 2)3 = 63 = 216.

Example : What value replaces " ? " in the below figure ?

1. 4
2. 3
3. 2
4. 1

Solution : 1

In the same way $\frac{39}{9}-\frac{9}{3}=1$

Example : Find the missing character in each of the following questions.

1. 350
2. 320
3. 500
4. 600

Solution : 600

By going in clockwise direction we find the following pattern
5×1=5; 5×2=10; 10×3=30;30×4=120 ; 120×5=600.
600×6= 3600. And 3600×7=25200

Example : What value replaces " ? " in the below figure ?

1. 4
2. 6
3. 12
4. 22

Solution : 4

The pattern is as follows
20+15-5=30; 8+10-6 = 12; so ? +8-10=2 so ?=4

Example :  What value replaces " ? " in the below figure ?

1. 100
2. 90
3. 80
4. 70

Solution : 80

The pattern is: (17-7)2+(7-5)2=104,(32-24)2+(17-11)2=100.
So, missing number =(52-48)2+(57-49)2=80
